City Museum and Art Gallery

Set in beautiful Edwardian Baroque building, Bristol's City Museum and Art Gallery has a diverse collection from fine art to prehistoric artefacts. It is the region's largest museum and art gallery and as well as the variety of permanent works there is always a changing temporary exhibition. Workshops, childrens activities and lectures are held here and there is a charming Edwardian style café serving drinks and snacks. Admission to the Museum and Gallery is free.

Bristol Old Vic

Bristol Old Vic Theatre in is one of the oldest working theatres in the world; opening originally in 1766. Today it is still a popular venue with local and national theatre companies regularly performing here. As well as theatre, musicals and poetry performances there are talks and tours held here as well as special events and children's events.

Bristol Cathedral

Bristol Cathedral is an impressive structure and a symbol of Bristol set close to the centre of town. It was built in the 16th century and has always been an important part of Bristol's history. As well as regular services, there are events held here throughout the year and a tour is also available every Saturday from May to October.

Bristol Zoo Gardens

A great day out for the family, Bristol Zoo Gardens houses over 300 species from all over the world. Highlights include Gorilla Island, Seal and Penguin Coasts and Twilight World. Various special events are held at the Zoo during the summer and there is the Pelican Restaurant serving hot meals and snacks and a gift shop for souvenirs. Admission is £9.50 for adults and £6.00 for children and the Zoo is open from 9am to 5.30pm daily (4.30pm in summer).

At Bristol

At-Bristol is a unique destination bringing science, nature and art to life. The venue is home to an Imax cinema; Explore, a 21st century science centre and Wildwalk, an exploration into the natural world. At-Bristol is open every day except Christmas Day and admission varies depending on which attractions are visited.
